Russell has been a clerk since 1989 when he started his career at 2 Crown Office Row (now 7 Bedford Row). He was appointed senior clerk in 1998 when he took over at Midlands set, Northampton Chambers. He joined Clarendon Chambers as senior clerk in December 1999 when he took a large group of barristers with him and created the regional office in Northampton. He oversees day to day clerking, marketing and business development, client care and all Public Access work.

Russell is the first point of contact for Public Access, ADR and international enquiries. He is available for out of hours enquiries and emergency work.
