Prior to being called to the Bar in 1984, Adrian trained and worked as an economist in macro-economic forecasting and consultancy in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Adrian’s practice encompasses both civil and family law. In civil law, Adrian focuses primarily on commercial litigation and advisory work with an emphasis on European and international aspects, including cross-border contracts and arbitration.
Adrian’s family practice includes high value matrimonial finance including tracing of family assets, off-shore company shareholding structures including trusts, enforcement of foreign judgments and preservation of assets, and private and public Children Act proceedings, particularly involving foreign laws and conflict of laws, most notably in adoption cases where no international on intra-national conventions or agreements are applicable.
Since 1985 he has lectured part-time at the Guildhall University on the Bar Finals Course (European Community Law) and for the Chartered Secretaries Course (including Employment law). He was an Instructor at the Inn’s of Court School of Law Bar Finals Course and since 1991 and has lectured at universities in Canterbury, Durham, Sao Paulo, Kyiv. He is currently Visiting Professor to the Summer Programme at Cumberland School of Law of the Samford University in Alabam.
