Allison practices exclusively in Family law.

Allison is particularly known for her meticulous preparation and analysis in divorce and money cases. She brings to the table substantial commercial acumen gained while working in the corporate banking sector in Trinidad and Tobago for seven years prior to being called to the Bar.

Her practice focuses on ancillary relief and she is instructed in medium to high value cases, often involving assets held in foreign jurisdictions as well as in the UK. Her expertise includes freezing injunctions, preservation of assets, pension attachment and sharing orders. She advises on pre and post divorce agreements and enforcement in the UK and abroad. Allison also undertakes TOLATA work.

Allison has considerable experience in public and private law Children Act matters, representing parents, children via their guardian and the local authority. She has acted in a number of child abduction cases and has particular experience in cases involving people with learning difficulties and the mentally incapacitated.

District Judge Gerlis wrote an article on Allison's ability and performance in ancillary relief cases. "That's The Way To Do It."(1994) Family Law 275.
