Duncan has a broad-based practice encompassing general civil litigation, residential and commercial property disputes including landlord and tenant, personal injury, public law and family.
In civil law, Duncan has represented both claimants and defendants in small, fast and multi-track cases involving contractual and negligence disputes. He represents clients in cases of personal injury, including accidents in the workplace, road traffic matters and in credit hire disputes.
His experience in Public law includes immigration and judicial review. Duncan appeared in both the County Court and High Court to apply for permission for judicial review in a human rights case involving Articles 2 (right to life), 3 (prohibition from torture) and 8 (right to family life) of the Human Rights Act 1998.
Duncan’s family practice includes predominately private law Children Act matters, applications for injunctive relief and divorce and money cases.
Duncan is a visiting part-time lecturer at Queen Mary, University of London where he lectures in public and administrative law.

Photography, all things New Zealand, and sports, particularly skydiving
