Elizabeth’s practice incorporates a broad range of criminal, family and civil work. In criminal law, Elizabeth has defended and prosecuted many different types of cases since being called to the bar although her practice is now predominantly for the defence in the crown court. Elizabeth is particularly instructed in cases of a sexual nature and those involving child witnesses.

In family law, Elizabeth’s practice focuses primarily on private law and public law Children Act matters and she has recently undertaken a period of secondment at Milton Keynes BC, in the child protection department. This experience has enabled Elizabeth to further enhance her skills and knowledge in this delicate and specialist area of practice. Whilst at MKBC Elizabeth has also gained valuable experience and insight in adult community care and mental health work.

In the civil courts, Elizabeth appears on behalf of both claimants and defendants. Her practice comprises a broad spectrum of personal injury including road traffic accidents and credit hire cases, predominantly on the fast track. She regularly drafts pleadings and advises on points of law, liability and quantum. Her other areas of civil expertise are in contractual disputes, mortgage repossessions, debt claims and attending at inquests.
