Hena’s practice incorporates a broad range of criminal, civil and family work. Prior to joining the Bar, Hena worked as a Caseworker and Designated Caseworker for Coventry CPS and Leicester CPS respectively.

Hena undertakes a busy criminal workload including the full range of Crown Court work and is instructed on behalf of both the defence and prosecution. Cases include section 18 wounding, sex offences including rape and drugs conspiracies. She is often instructed in cases specifically involving young and volatile individuals.

Midland Circuit Grade 2 Prosecutor

Her civil work includes representing claimants and defendants in personal injury, including road traffic and accidents in the workplace. She regularly drafts pleadings and advises on points of law, procedure, liability and quantum. Other civil works includes contract disputes, bankruptcy hearings, mortgage repossessions and debt claims.

In family Hena’s practice focuses primarily on private and public law Children Act proceedings and in applications for injunctive relief.
