Kiran has a civil law practice with particular emphasis on employment and personal injury work.
Employment
Kiran represents applicants and respondents across the range of employment law issues, including all aspects of discrimination, collective labour law, compromise agreements, constructive dismissal, health and safety at work, redundancy and unfair dismissal. She undertakes a significant amount of drafting and advisory work, and has earned a reputation for turning papers around quickly. She gained further experience, having studied this subject at Master’s Level and through being a FRU representative.
Personal Injury
Kiran acts for claimants and defendants in all aspects of PI disputes, including RTA and related accidents, credit hire, CICA and accidents in the workplace which dovetail with her expertise in health and safety. The majority of Kiran’s work is on the Fast-Track although she is instructed in a number of cases on the Multi-Track. She is experienced in advising on liability and quantum and drafting pleadings.
Clinical Negligence
Kiran acts for claimants and defendants; she has developed efficient advocacy and drafting skills in this area. She received a distinction in this subject at Master’s level and is currently a volunteer at Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA).
Property
In property law, Kiran’s experience includes commercial and residential landlord and tenant, boundary disputes, repossession hearings, advising on the surrender and determination of leases and general housing matters including the right to buy and disrepair.
Civil Litigation
Kiran has experience of general civil litigation including contract and tort, partnerships disputes, bankruptcy and company law, and licensing. She has appeared in the Court of Appeal, as well as the High Court in such matters.
Interests
She enjoys horse-riding, tennis and the theatre.
