Monica's civil practice incorporates a broad range of civil and family work.
Personal Injury and general Civil Litigation
Monica's civil practice includes a substantial amount of RTA related persoanl injury work, accidents at work and credit hire claims predoninately on the Fast and Multi-Tracks, representing both claimants and defendants.
She has substantial experience in contractual disputes, landlord and tenant and negligence claims and has conducted numerous applications and trials of varying complexity. She is regularly instructed to advise on quantum and liability and to settle pleadings.
Employment
Monica has a keen interest in employment law and has lectured at seminars to business organisations on employment law topics. She is instructed on behalf of employers and employees in cases of unfair dismissal, race, sex and disability discrimination, constructive dismissal and redundancy claims.
Family
Monica practices in all areas of family law with particular emphasis in public and private law proceedings. She has acted in section 8 applications under the Children Act 1989, applications to prevent removal from the jurisdiction and on applications for injunctive relief. She is also experienced in divorce and matrimonial finance having conducted numerous FDRs and final hearings.
