Nicola practised as a solicitor in Top 100 firms for 12 years specialising in personal injury. This included claimant and insurance work. For the last 7 years she specialised in motor insurance fraud representing insurers against potentially fraudulent claims. At the Bar her practice is mainly common law.

In motor insurance fraud, Nicola receives instructions regularly to advise in conference, and prepare advices and represent insurers at interlocutory hearings and trials.  


Nicola’s personal injury practice encompasses acting for Claimant’s and Defendant’s. The claims include road traffic accidents incorporating credit hire, employers liability, occupiers liability and highway claims. She accepts instructions on a conditional fee basis subject to a risk assessment. 


Nicola has developed a family practice which includes private children work, public law and ancillary relief. With regard to children she often is instructed on residence and contact matters. 

In public law matters Nicola has represented Local Authorities at ICO, CMC, IRH and final hearings. She has also appeared for parents and interveners. Her work includes care, supervision, special guardianship and placement applications.


Nicola has represented Applicant and Respondents in matrimonial finance and divorce. She has been instructed at first appointment, FDR and final hearings.
 

Nicola has also developed a practice in contract and Landlord and Tenant.
