Welcome to Clarendon Chambers

Barristers specializing in civil litigation, arbitration, property law, personal injury, employment, divorce and family law, housing and local government.

Clarendon Chambers is a modern and progressive set of barristers chambers delivering specialist advisory and advocacy services in its core areas of legal expertise. Situated both in the splendour's of the fourteenth century Middle Temple, London,  and in modern day premises on the Midland Circuit in Northampton, Clarendon Chambers conducts its business throughout England and Wales and increasingly overseas. Our clients range from high street and city solicitors, institutions, the commercial sector, public authorities and bodies and foreign lawyers. We accept ever increasing instructions directly from members of the public, businesses and companies via the Public Access scheme.

Despite our growing private client base Chambers remains committed to the publicly funded sector. It thrives on its commitment to providing all of its clients with the highest levels of service.

Over the years the Bar has evolved into a highly competitive and market driven environment, as well as a growing corporate image and we recognise this by combining the Bar’s valuable traditions with a modern and innovative business approach. Our formidable practice groups are structured to ensure depth and breadth of experience to our clients. We provide objective advice alongside robust advocacy and conduct ourselves in a professional, friendly and approachable manner.

Our senior clerk, Russell Burton, with more than 20 years as a barristers clerk and his team, are firmly committed to providing the highest standards of client service and satisfaction. You will find our clerks flexible in their approach, particularly in relation to fee negotiation. The team always endeavor to match the most appropriate barrister to a particular case that is both best for the client and value for money.

Our Philosophy is simple: we are here to help You
