Area of practice: Family and Matrimonial Law Member of these Practice Teams Ancillary Relief Substantial experience in high value ancillary relief including tracing of family assets and complex off-shore company shareholding structures including trusts, enforcement of foreign judgments and preservation of assets. He has appeared in cases involving foreign laws and conflict of laws particularly in adoption cases where no international on intra-national conventions or agreements are applicable. Practice also includes experience in inheritance Act and TLATA applications and all forms of family succession including deathbed gifts. Adoption Experience of cases where issues arise with reference to adoption procedures in foreign jurisdictions and the conflict between procedural requirements for English adoptions. Reported Case: re A [2000] FLR 539 Contact and Care Proceedings Practice also includes substantial experience in contact and care proceedings, particularly involving physical, emotional and sexual abuse with particular reference to adolescents and where there is a need for significant psychiatric involvement Area of Practice Employment - Download CV as PDF Trained and worked as an economist in macro-economic forecasting and consultancy in the United Kingdom and abroad before coming to the Bar and being called in 1984. Since call has practised in general civil, commercial and chancery law with an emphasis on European and international aspects, including cross-border contracts. He has litigation experience of all levels of Courts. Since 1985 has lectured part-time at the Guildhall University on the Bar Finals Course (European Community Law) and for the Chartered Secretaries Course (including Employment law). He was an Instructor at the Inns of Court School of Law Bar Finals Course and since 1991 has lectured at universities in Canterbury, Durham, Sao Paulo, Kyiv. Currently Visiting Professor to the Summer Programme at Cumberland School of Law of the Samford University in Alabama. Member of the Employment team but recently has been involved in major Civil cases.
