Member of these Practice Teams Ben Gow is a specialist criminal barrister appearing in the Crown Courts primarily on the Midland Circuit and in Oxford. He is instructed predominantly on behalf of the Defence but also undertakes prosecution work on behalf of Local Authorities. He has experience in the following areas: • Serious acts of violence (including murder, wounding and armed robbery), • Sexual offences against adults and children (including rape and indecent assault) • Child pornography offences • Arson • Robbery • Drugs offences (including substantial conspiracies to supply) • Fraud (including insurance frauds, bank frauds, counterfeiting and Social Security frauds) • Serious Motoring Offences (including death by careless and dangerous driving) • Trading Standards offences • Trade Mark offences (including large scale counterfeiting) • Planning offences Membership: Area of Practice: Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation Ben Gow’s civil area of practice covers most aspects of the General Common Law and in particular in the fields of personal injury, contract and residential possession.
