The Northampton Annexe was created in 1999 following the recruitment of a group of established Midland Circuit barristers and our current senior clerk from chambers in Northampton.
The Annexe now consists of 14 barristers all of whom live and practice in the Midlands. The principal areas of work at the Annexe are crime and family although some members also undertake contract and personal injury work. Our more junior barristers also advise and appear in small claims and fast track civil cases and at inquests. A significant amount of our civil work in the Midlands and further North is handled by our specialist Counsel in London and this tends to be in the areas of landlord and tenant and real property, employment and probate.
The Annexe is administered by Davina Bestwick and Sue Timmons, who together, provide an invaluable liaison service to local solicitor clients, lay clients and members of chambers.
The Annexe has always been a busy center for holding conferences whether for clients locally or for those clients based further away who have instructed London counsel and who find it more convenient to meet with their barrister in the provinces. The overall convenience to our clients is always at the forefront of our minds.
All diary bookings and enquiries are managed centrally by our experienced clerks in London who can be contacted on 020 7353 0003. Chambers uses high tech IT facilities and case management software. Instructions to Counsel can be received by email at either of our locations as well as by conventional methods.
The overall responsibility for clerking and administrative services at Clarendon Chambers lies with the senior clerk. He can be contacted during working hours on 020 7353 0003 and on 07971 285 796 at any other time. Directions
