Clarendon Chambers remains committed to criminal law and publicly funded defence work. We have a strong and well established criminal team led by Sir Ivan Lawrence QC with a wide range of experience in prosecution and defence work. The team appears throughout the criminal courts in London, the South East and on the Midland Circuit. Members will also travel further afield when required. Several members have international experience. The Criminal Team is committed to delivering skilled & robust advocacy and pragmatic advice. We work closely with our instructing solicitors and work hard to maintain relationships with our professional clients based upon trust and teamwork. Members of the Criminal Team are instructed in a wide range of work: • murder and manslaughter Members of the team regularly prosecute and several members have completed secondments with prosecution agencies to develop their specialist experience.
