PERSONAL INJURY:
Our philosophy is simple: we are here to help

The Personal Injury Team draws upon a wide range of experience in claimant and defendant work. We undertake the full range of personal injury and occupational disease claims acting for claimants and on behalf of defendants and their insurers. Members have particular experience in the following areas:

• employer’s liability
• asbestos (mesothelioma and asbestosis)
• environmental pollution
• industrial deafness
• repetitive strain injury
• public liability claims
• road traffic accidents
• accidents abroad
• fatal accidents
• catastrophic injuries
• marine & aviation accidents
• stress, PTSD & psychiatric injuries
• product liability

Some members have experience in medical negligence work. Members also have experience in representation in associated criminal proceedings, public enquiries and representing interested parties at inquests.

We recognise the importance of ADR and the value of a strong team approach to personal injury work - working closely with our instructing solicitors, expert witnesses and lay clients. Several members are accredited mediators and have experience in mediation advocacy and conducting complex settlement negotiations on behalf of and against insurers, reflecting the growing emphasis upon alternative dispute resolution in personal injury work. The team is also able to draw upon the expertise of our associated employment and criminal teams when needed.

The team endeavours to provide a strong source of technical support to its instructing clients on all cases from initial advice on liability and quantum through to achieving final resolution of the case whether through trial, mediation or negotiation. Our advice is always pragmatic and client focused. Our philosophy is simple: we are here to help
